How to you manage hunger at second trimester?

I’m at week 13 now and have been feeling hungry every few hours. Some say to take small meals through out the day 4-5 times. Just afraid I’m gaining unnecessary weight. How do mummies cope with their hunger and what do you eat for “small meals”?

I ate dates, a cup of cereal/oats, fruits, biscuits

I take fruits, juices, biscuits, cornflakes
