My son's hospitalization plan is with AXA, chose it because I met an agent at that time and trusted her to handle his policies more than my cousin (she's one of those agents who work for commission and then disappears when you need help clarifying issues). I added a rider to cover all deductibles and co-insurance up to private hospitals too, about $20+/month as I chose monthly plans :) I'd say you should look out for an agent who is easily reachable and truly cares for you and your family (checks in every now and then, shares things outside of job), the things covered under the plans and what kind of hospitals and wards they cover.

ive taken prudential plan. i paid monthly around 50$. reason being i think its bcoz my family are all insured under prudential. for me what i look for is if i claim for any type of hospital or only government hospial. reason being is that if any thing were to happen, at least i dont have to purposely travel to kkh or sgh or nuh for treatment.

Thanks for sharing. hmm.. does the prudential plan u've signed up include coverage for follow up consultations after hospitalization? how long after does it cover? i met an ocbc agent recently who boasted that their premium is one of the highest at $400+ per annum due to the spectrum they cover.
