Duphalac after delivery

Im a ftm, will hospital give us duphalac after our delivery or need to bring our own ? And exactly when do we need to consume duphalac and how often ? I know its a stool softener but how does it exactly works? Means we dont really have to push for poop to come out ? Ill be delivering in kkh. #firstbaby #advicepls

my gynae prescribed me Duphalac when I have constipation during pregnancy. It does not work much for me but it does make my stool softer. I still need to push my poop out but with less effort. I think it also depends on how much you take - more to have a diahorrea effect

Normally after giving birth, it’s hard to push stools out so they give us stools softener. But prior to natural delivery, the Gynae will give u some medicine for you to clear all ur waste so you won’t have much waste to clear after your delivery
