Maternity Insurance: HSBC or AIA or others?

I'm a #firsttimemom at 7weeks and looking to get #insuranceforprenancy. Which is a better package: HSBC Happy Mummy or AIA Mum2Baby Protect? Or any other maternity insurance recommended? Hospital will be KKH. #advice

Congrats on your first pregnancy! Both HSBC Happy Mummy and AIA Mum2Baby Protect are quite similar in pricing, so it really comes down to what coverage matters most to you. HSBC Happy Mummy (previously under AXA) does have a shield plan add-on with no underwriting which is useful, but do note it apparently doesn't cover pre-existing conditions, so check the fine print carefully. AIA's plan tends to bundle mum and baby coverage together more comprehensively, which some mums find more convenient as a one-stop package. My friend went through KKH too and said the key thing is to make sure your plan ties in smoothly with your Medishield Life so you're not paying double for the same coverage, worth confirming with the insurer directly before you commit.
