Mixing the cereal with breast milk

Hi,I’m feeding Gerber rice and oats cereal for my baby.I’m just adding directly breast milk for mixing the cereal,is that mandatory to heat the breast milk?

It’s not necessary to heat up breast milk although cereal may soften better in warm milk.
