looking for otoplasty surgeon..

I’m currently doing some research before deciding whether to undergo otoplasty, and I’m wondering how soon people are usually able to return to work, school, exercise, and normal daily activities after the procedure. I understand that recovery can vary depending on the individual and the type of surgery, but I’d like to hear about other people’s experiences. I’m also looking into clinics here in Singapore, so does anyone have recommendations for a reputable clinic or surgeon for otoplasty, and what should I consider when choosing one?

I haven't had otoplasty myself, but a friend did it a couple of years back and she was back at her desk job within a week, though she had to be careful not to bump her ears for a good month or so. For exercise and things like contact sports, her surgeon advised waiting about 6 weeks to be safe. I'd really suggest booking consultations with a few ENT surgeons here in Singapore (KKH has a good plastics team, and there are private clinics around Orchard as well) because they can give you a clearer timeline based on your specific case and what they're planning to do. When you're choosing, ask them directly about their complication rates and see if you can chat with past patients if possible, since this is your body and you want someone you're confident in. Recovery honestly varies quite a bit from person to person, so it's worth getting multiple opinions before you commit.
