NS Reservist during confinement period. Should he defer ?

Im currently almost 23 weeks pregnant and first time mother. My husband just received NS reservist notice for the first time to ask him go back for reservist for 2 weeks plus in early Jan-Feb 2026. My EDD is around early oct 2025.. by the time the baby born will be 3 months old.. we hired 28 days confinement nanny and yet to decide for a helper after the nanny is gone. Is it selfish to ask him to defer his reservist? Will it be valid to defer? #Needadvice #firsttimemom

Ultimately it is up to you & spouse to discuss. My EDD is Oct 2025 & my hub’s reservist is literally 1 month later in November (also our wedding anni). Bb will be 1 month old only. I’m completely ok if he leaves so he doesn’t have to defer a cycle. maybe can let him try to come home by the end of each day so he don’t have to stay in if that helps?

Hmm just have a good discussion with him? But in my opinion unless there's a good reason for deferment otherwise Mindef is unlikely to approve it. Best that both of you think of other alternative arrangements etc. c if any family members who can help out during that 2 weeks
