kicking pregnant tummy

I'm currently 7 months pregnant with my second and still co-sleep with my 3 YO. however, no matter how I explain to the toddler to not kick/push/hit my stomach she still does it anyways. it's not out of malice but more like she wants to be with me and we do play rough, but that was before my tummy got this big. Is baby safe inside despite the kicks and pushes from her sister? and also I have to keep getting up from lying position at night to satisfy my older one (eg, when she shouts for a diaper change or even a snack) and I definitely feel a strain on my belly and back. any tips to survive this for 3 more months?

I feel that you should have a serious conversation with your 3 YO. Explain to her that she is now an older sister now that she need to protect you and her siblings. Allow her to interact with her younger siblings by touching your belly. Tell her that soon she will have a play mate. Ensure her that you have equal love for her and her little siblings.

Please do not share the bed with her, if you can. If space allows, make her a separate bed beside you, tell her she is your guardian angel and needs space away to guard you and baby. Tell her you loved her a lot and trust her to guard over you :) If you do feel uncomfortable after being kicked, pls see your gynae to check.

Best to not let her do all these rough movements on your tummy as it might affect baby. I almost had a miscarriage when my 7-8 months tummy was hit harshly. Maybe can talk things around with your lo. Best of luck :)

I think skip co-sleeping especially at this stage of pregnancy. It might also help training your child to sleep independently already.

pls do not ignore this. Its not safe as sometime kids are uncontrollable ..U need to be firm and strict to ur lo

Best to drop the co-sleep. While I don’t think it’s extremely dangerous but still better to be safer.

Three year olds should be sleeping by themselves already
