Baby’s head engagement

I’m currently at my 38th week and my gynae told me that my baby’s head has not engaged yet. This is my first pregnancy. Anyone has experience on this? Did your baby’s head engage later on or did you end up having a C-section? Is there anything I can do to encourage baby’s head engagement to the pelvis? Thank you!
