I've heard good things about a few KKH private gynaes, especially Dr Tan Kim Teng, Dr Serena Koh and Dr Seet Meei Jiun at KK Women's and Children's Hospital. Many mums mention that they are experienced and supportive throughout pregnancy and delivery. If you're low-risk and want the full women's and children's hospital support system, KKH is a popular choice. For higher-risk pregnancies, KKH is also Singapore's main tertiary referral centre for high-risk obstetrics. For SGH, I've heard positive feedback about the O&G team at Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) Centre, especially from mums who prefer delivering in a general hospital setting. Personally, I'd choose the doctor over the hospital. A gynae whose communication style and birth philosophy match yours can make a huge difference. 😊 Good luck, mama! ❤️

Both are solid choices, honestly. SGH tends to have shorter wait times and a wider range of subspecialties if you need them, while KKH is the specialist women and children's hospital so everything is very focused on maternity care. My girl was born at KKH and I found the staff really experienced with pregnancy stuff, but I also know mums who swear by their gynae at SGH because of the convenience and shorter queues. Really depends on which hospital is closer to your home and whether you prefer a more general hospital setting or a dedicated maternity one. Have you checked which gynaes are available at each and whether they're in your preferred panel?
