Water retention after birth

I'm on my 6th day after labour, and my legs suddenly swells up like balloon. Been said that it's water retention. It's my 1st time having this and I don't know what to do to get rid of it. Any help mummies? #advicepls #pleasehelp

i used compression socks, got it from polyclinic pharmacy. initially used one that's bought from shopee but didnt seem to work. after wearing the pharmacy bought socks, almost no water retention after 2~3days
