Cramping/Abdominal Pain

Im 5 weeks pregnant and i want to know if it is normal to have an abdominal pain like when your having menstruation?

I had cramps at week 5 and 6. Doc say it's normal cos ur body is making space for the baby. But if it is persistent pain and u r spotting, go hospital straightaway
