You will be charged under private rate once you chosen a private ward, then all your follow-up appts after discharge will be under private too.. For baby should be also e same if mummy is private rate patient..

I think upon admission for your delivery, you should tell them. Upgrading from subsidised to b1/a1 is never a problem. But just note that afterwards eg. Clinic follow ups will be under private rates

Your gynae appointments. Since you’re considering to go private, you might wanna look for a gynae of your choice to look after you until you give birth. That’s the perk of being b1/a1 aka paying private rates.

Latest update (but KKH, not sure for NUH) we’re allowed to opt for b1 or a1 and still be a subsidised patient for subsequent follow ups with effect from this January!

Really? So can choose to stay in B1 but still a subsidized patients?
