If I have diabetes, should I switch to brown rice?
Yes you should. But better to visit dietrician to help with planning and know what you need :) You can also choose grains that is low glycemic index like basmati rice, or the low-gi rice by kangaroo brand.
Yes .. Brown rice is definitely better than white rice in terms of sugar content. Try to avoid rice at night. Eat in smaller meals and drink soup if u feel hungry at night.
Brown rice is definitely better than white rice to control blood sugar. I'm currently taking brown rice too, but im trying to reduce overall rice(brown/white) intake.
im on total brown rice... till i end my confinement :) no white rice.. if cannot avoid during dinning out.. then maybe 2 tablespoons of white rice
Agree with all the other answers. Also, the longer the grain of rice, the lower the GI, which is also good for someone with diabetes.
Yes you definitely can but still with moderation. Eat more veggies especially the green and leafy ones I suggest.
yes brown rice are much better choice. Try separate smaller meal and cut down on carbohydrates !
I'd think a good idea would be to visit a dietitian to help with planning your food intake :)
U can get basmati rice (for Nasi bryani) or Low GI rice :)
