You got a Poly referral is consider Subsidised. For subsidised, you cannot choose doctor. Doctor who are running are usually Medical Officer and above, they also have Consultant In-Charge on duty too to assist. Before your admission, Financial Counsellor will ask you type of ward and so on. You can then choose Subsidised or Private. But bare in mind, once you choose private, after your post op or doctor follow review will be consider Private. Good thing is you can choose doctor from Associate, Consultant or Senior Consultant specialist. Most of the Restructed Hoapital are practising the same policies. Unless those private sector, no choice its all private.
Not to sure if this will answer your question fully but according to the KKH website, Singapore citizens and SPF are eligible for subsidised rates if you have been: "Referred from a polyclinic or A&E of a restructured hospital (applicable if you are not receiving treatment for the same medical condition/s in KKH, at non-subsidised rates)." http://www.kkh.com.sg/PATIENTSANDVISITORS/HOSPITALCHARGESANDPAYMENT/OUTPATIENTCHARGES/Pages/Women.aspx
You cannot choose gynae if you are being referred by polyclinic because you enjoy subsidised rate. But you can go through the subsidised route first then book an appointment with your preferred gynae at KKH months ahead and then switch to private so that this gynae can review you for at least 1-2 months and assist you during delivery.

Referral means you will be automatically a subsidised patient. And for this case you won't be able to choose. If you want to choose you willneed to request them to change you to private class.
If I'm not mistaken, you will not be able to choose your doctor as a subsidized patient. You will be seen by any doctor who is available.
any referral from polyclinic is considered subsidies. If you want to choose a gynae for csect, it would be considered as a private patient.
Hi. If u get a referral from polyclinic, you're under c class... U can't choose anything. Unless u call for kkh private suite :)
Once you choose a fixed doctor you will be private. They will inform you if you request for such a change.
it will be private charge once u choose a midwife or gynae. u can call to check with kkh
