u are not too early. my edd in Jan 2020 too! i bought the big items already like sterilizer, stroller, breast pump, diapers etc.. i left the small items (towel, toys, wipes, detergent etc) to buy in Nov'19.

Better to secure all the necessary items before baby arrives .. later we don’t hv much time n stamina for relaxed shopping ..

Its not too early. Can start to buy some :)
