Third hand smoke

I am worried that my baby would have third hand smoke addict..me and my husband doesn't smoke..but my mum who is taking care of the baby smokes..I am worried that the smell lingers in clothes or hands get baby exposed to it..what can I do to make at least the smell goes away before carrying the baby.. My baby is 6 weeks old now..
