Avoid Squating after delivery?

I was advised to avoid squating or sitting on low stool after my c sect delivery. Is that true? Currently I am 4 weeks recovering from my surgery and even though I no longer feel any pain, I was discouraged to squat low or even sitting on the floor?

I have never done a c-sect but my mum does advised me not to squat down after delivery. I was also reminded to not sit on the floor. I think for c-sect is because you have stitches and if you were to squat down, the bend will squash or hurt the part where you had the stitches.
