It is very normal for baby at 1mo to wake up 2-3 hourly for milk, especially if baby is on breastmilk. What I did when my baby was 1mo is that my husband and I take turn to feed her at night and we let her drink formula milk at night so that she can “sleep” longer. I set a routine for my baby when she’s 2mo, I’ll always put her to bed at 7ish no matter what. Slowly she get use to it and 3mo she can sleep on her own. I keep night time activity simple for her, no activity that are over stimulating and no one should play with her. So she got use to it and I always tell her it’s bedtime, kiss her good night and out her down to sleep. Now she’s turning 5mo, can sleep on her own and sleep through the night too.

I see, check with you, when you put her to bed at 7ish, what time does she wake up for feeding ? how about in the morning ? thanks !

Hi, is normal for 1mo to wake up at night like every 2-3hrs for feeding. My baby is 8mo and she just only started to learn to sleep on her own. Hang on and you will slowly get use to it. Advice is, try to get some nap in the day time when your baby is asleep too. Not to be too stress about it as it is part and parcel of the journey. Try to rotate the night duty with your partner or if there is someone that can help you out for a few nights so that you can get some rest. Understand that it is not easy and tiring as I taking care of my baby alone myself too. ☺️

I understand where you are coming from. I have been there, but trust me, you will get used to it and your baby as well, it is all about timing. I would say it is too early for a month old baby to sleep on their own. My little one is 1 year and 8 months and I still lull him to sleep, which I absolutely love to do now. You'll get past this one night at a time mommy.

Personally I think at 1 month they’re not ready to sleep on their own. It’s a survival instinct to wake up frequently and ensure their caregiver is nearby. If it’s an option you can try co-sleeping. That way if baby wakes up, feels your presence nearby, she can self-soothe to sleep or you can pat her back to sleep without waking up and walking over.

It’s very normal for baby to wake up 3hrly for milk , and they can slp through the night when they are ready. You cannot slp train ur 1 mo old. They are super reliant on you for food and comfort at this stage. You can take turns with ur hubby to wake up to feed baby, or just nap in the daytime when baby nap.
