Hospitalisation leave

I am thinking of getting hospitalisation leave from my gynae to rest at home one week before my ML starts. Any idea whether gynae will usually grant HL for us to rest at home?

You can try requesting for it though I’ve heard there are gynaes who do not issue HL unless you really require bedrest.
