Hi mum, don’t stress too much first, a lot of us also went through this stage and it can feel quite discouraging at the start. If pumping is completely dry, continuing for a few days might help a bit in some cases, but milk supply usually depends on how long it has been since you last breastfed and how responsive your body still is, so results really vary. Relactation is possible even after a long gap for some mums, but it usually takes quite a bit of patience with frequent pumping, skin-to-skin with baby, and sometimes guidance from a lactation consultant. If you’re feeling unsure, I would honestly suggest getting some professional help early so you don’t end up stressing and doing trial-and-error alone.
