Uv sterilizer smells chlorin

I recently bought a uv sterilizer. Is it normal during uv sterilizing, it will smell like chlorin? Like swimming pool? I bought the xiaomi xiolang sterilizer #FTM

Hi I’m using xiaomi’s xiao lang steriliser too, but mine does not smell like chlorine at all.. is it the item that you are sterilising not suitable for UV then gave out the smell? 😱
