I have no idea what to get my FIL for his birthday! Any ideas?

Check with your husband and his siblings. See if they are planning to get an expensive gift and chip in. This year, my partner and his siblings are getting their dad an iPad for his 60th birthday and I plan to chip in. Alternatively, you can get him an experience of sorts -- maybe a dinner, musical or concert tickets (dads love their cover bands).
