Postpartum menstruation

I had my period 5 weeks pp for a few days, then stop and start at 6 weeks for another few days. Now at 7weeks, i have slight period blood again for a day so far. Cramping still occurs for each day with period. Is this irregularity normal?? Have not have my pap smear check due to this.
