Do i have diastasis recti?

I had csect last 7 weeks and my tummy is still quite buldging. How do i know if i have diastasis recti? Ive tried laying down and lift my head while pressing my middle abdomen but i cant seem to notice anything or differentiate if theres any gap. From the pic does it look like diastasis recti? #firsttimemom #firstbaby

At 7 weeks post-C-sect, some tummy bulging is still quite normal since your body is still healing, but diastasis recti is genuinely hard to self-check accurately, especially when your core muscles are still recovering from surgery. The finger-gap test can be tricky to do on yourself without knowing exactly what you are feeling for, so I think it is worth bringing this up with your gynae or a women's health physio who can do a proper assessment in person. Some hospitals and private clinics here have postnatal physiotherapists who specialise in exactly this, and they can also guide you on safe exercises to start with. It is better to get a clear answer before jumping into any core work, just to be safe.
