I had an abortion in 2016. Gave birth to my son in April 2018 via emergency c-sect. Hubby and myself keen to have another one. Is it safe for me to have another by next year?
I gave birth to my girl in june 2016 via emergency csect too. My gynae told me its best to wait at least 1 year before i conceive again so that there’s enough time for my wound to heal. If not, best to wait at least 6 months after the csect before you conceive again.
From a medical point of view, as long as your doctor gives you the all-clear, it's fine. From an emotional POV, you and your husband need to discuss it carefully. How will you handle two small babies? Do you have extra help? What about work? Good luck!
I did conceive again after 6months plus. But what I heard is it’s better to wait longer so that your wound can have enough time to heal.
Is there a reason you want to have another baby soon? It might be best 5o wait a little till your body has had time to recuperate.
You can get pregnant after 6 months unless your doctor has stated otherwise. In my personal opinion the long the better.
Best to wait 1-2 years but since you had emergency c section, you should consult your ob-gyne to be safe and sure
Dear Mum, It is always recommended to have 2.5 to 3 years of gap. But it is best to check with your gynae :)
Please seek your gynecologist advise. Though I think it’s better to have a 2 to 3 years gap.
