Spotting during first trimester

Hi, I had 1st episode spotting with light pale red spotting during week 5 and had the 2nd episode today on my week 8.. The amount is very little, almost will miss it if I am not observant. Seldom have cramps. Had mild cramp for just a day in week 7. Is this spotting something that I need to be concerned? My gynae appointment is in 2 weeks time..
