Amniotic fluid test

Dear fellow mummies, did any of you opt out of Amniotic fluid test? I know this is not a discussion to be made on line. Me and my husband had decided to opt out of it for a few reasons, but the steep cost of the test is also one of the key factors. I guess some part of my heart is seeking assurance.
