6w Extremely worried

Hi, I got my very 1st double lines on pregnancy test kit and went to get referral latter from polyclinic on 28 Feb. When will I hear from KKH? Do KKH give you ultrasound scans and blood test on your first visit? I'm 6w now. Extremely worried because I'm 41yo, first time pregnant. I hardly have any symptoms, except for no period and nauseous on an empty stomach. Should I go for a private scan first? I'm so scared the scan in KKH will tell me there's no heartbeat....

Hi, I’m not sure how fast KKH will be in arranging for first scan. And it’s normal to feel worried, especially if you’re slightly older. I’m 5 weeks currently and does not have much symptoms yet. When I called in to a few private gynae, they wouldn’t see me until 6 weeks or 7 weeks onwards. If you’re worried and able to afford, can consider private scan first, and still follow up at KKH subsequently if you wish.

Hi.. I'm 44 this year.. currently 9 weeks pregnant, and my first scan was last week at KKH. Baby has heartbeat and is growing well. Hope all is well with you and baby. enjoy your pregnancy. 🌸

Aww congrats! Yes, they’ll usually do a scan for you on your first visit. If you’re visiting slightly earlier (~before 8 weeks) it might be a transvagina scan. All the best! :)
