Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It sounds like you're really going through a tough time right now. Nausea and morning sickness can be really challenging, and it's totally normal to feel overwhelmed by it. First of all, please know that you're not alone in feeling this way. Many pregnant women experience similar symptoms, and it can be really tough to deal with. It's okay to feel disconnected from the baby at this stage - your body is going through a lot of changes, and it's completely understandable that you're focused on how uncomfortable you're feeling. One thing that might help with the nausea is to eat small, frequent meals throughout the day. It's great that you've noticed that eating helps to alleviate the nausea - keeping some healthy snacks by your bed to eat before you even get up might help with those bad hunger pangs in the morning. Ginger tea or ginger candies are also known to help with nausea, so you could give that a try as well. It's also important to stay hydrated, so make sure you're drinking plenty of water, even if it feels difficult to keep down. If you're really struggling, it might be worth speaking to your doctor about potential remedies or medications that could help ease your symptoms. As for feeling disconnected from the baby, please don't be too hard on yourself. It's okay to have mixed feelings during pregnancy, and it doesn't mean that you won't bond with your baby once they arrive. Take things one day at a time, and be kind to yourself during this challenging period. Hang in there, mama. You're doing an amazing job, and this tough phase will eventually pass. Sending you lots of love and positive vibes. 💕 https://invl.io/cll6she
I had very bad nausea in my first trimester too, from week 6 all the way to week 14. I couldn’t look at food or smell it. Spent my weekends in bed cos I was just too exhausted and I was constantly hugging a bucket in case I have to vomit. It was a very dark time for me cos I’m someone who really enjoys and looks forward to eating. I wasted a lot of money on food cos once I bought something, I didn’t feel like eating it anymore. Couldn’t even go dabao food at the hawker cos of the smell. What helped me was small pieces of bread and soup. Sometimes I just drank milo or milk for a meal. That’s probably all I depended on and lost a lot of weight. Don’t let worries like “but I’m not feeding my child well” get to you, no point force feeding yourself and throwing it all up. Your body has enough reserves for baby! Don’t give up, mummy! You are stronger than you think. When the second trimester comes, you will feel a lot better and you will also start to feel the small movements in your tummy. Look forward to that! The connection will come once you start feeling the little movements!
Hang on sis~ I have the same issues as you when I was in my first trim. My heart burnt is v bad everyday, I cry everyday too… now I’m week 24 but I stil cry once in a while when I am feeling unwell.. the crying hormones jus come… the feeling is unbearable and no matter what I do, things don’t get better. Doc cannot help us as well. It’s frustrating. But you just have to let time passed for things to improve….. hang in there sis… u will pass it. 💪🏻💪🏻
exact same thoughts as u! my nausea started from wk 5ish and I'm wk 10 now but still battling it everyday 🥲 i wake up intermittently every night too and had to drink milo to feel better. everyday feels like a drag.
Hopefully this eases up when u enter 2nd trimester. The nausea is usually the worst in the 1st trimester. Jiayou jiayou don't worry about connecting with the baby, it'll come when the baby arrives
I’m facing the same situation as you! I’m at week 6 and battling with nausea and giddy feeling every day the moment I’m awake. 😢
go hospital to get nausea meds. it is for pregnant woman. i just got mine. dilectin. specifically use for nausea and vomitting for pregnancy.
