So sorry to hear what you're going through, it's a really tough journey and you're not alone. From what I've heard from other mums who went through MTX, period usually comes back somewhere between 4 to 8 weeks after your HCG drops to zero, though some waited a little longer, up to around 10 weeks. Someone in my mum group mentioned her period returned about 31 days after the jab, roughly 9 days after her HCG was finally confirmed zero, so the HCG level is really the key thing to track rather than just counting days from the injection. Honestly, a few mums also said their first period back felt a bit different from before, lighter or heavier, slightly irregular, so don't panic if yours doesn't look exactly the same as usual. If nothing shows up by 8 to 10 weeks, that's definitely the time to flag it with your doctor rather than wait it out. Please do check with your specialist too, because everyone's body responds differently and they'll be able to monitor your HCG properly and guide you on next steps.

Hi Sis, I’m really sorry you had to go through this, it must have been very emotionally and physically tough after trying for so long. After a MTX injection, it’s quite normal for your cycle to take some time to come back, and for many women period can return anywhere from about 4 to 8 weeks or sometimes even a bit longer depending on how your body recovers. I think it’s important to also follow up closely with your doctor to make sure your hCG levels are going down properly before thinking about cycles or trying again. Be gentle with yourself during this period, recovery can take time both physically and emotionally.
