Honestly, a few mums also said their first period back felt a bit different from before, lighter or heavier, slightly irregular, so don't panic if yours doesn't look exactly the same as usual. If nothing shows up by 8 to 10 weeks, that's definitely the time to flag it with your doctor rather than wait it out. After a MTX injection, it’s quite normal for your cycle to take some time to come back, and for many women period can return anywhere from about 4 to 8 weeks or sometimes even a bit longer depending on how your body recovers. I think it’s important to also follow up closely with your doctor to make sure your hCG levels are going down properly before thinking about cycles or trying again. Be gentle with yourself during this period, recovery can take time both physically and emotionally.
