PAPP A reading low

I did Oscar, NIPT & pre-eclampsia test. Test for Down syndrome came back ok - but I had risk for pre eclampsia and a super low reading for PAPP-A. Report shows there’s a high risk of fetal restricted growth too. Doc suggested for amnio test next.. anyone faced the same issue? #adviceplease #firstmom

Scary to get that result, I know, but your NIPT coming back clear is genuinely reassuring, the amnio is likely just to rule out anything the NIPT might have missed at chromosomal level, so don't panic yet. Someone in my mum group mentioned that even with low PAPP-A, the majority of pregnancies go on just fine, the risk of actual growth restriction or pre-eclampsia goes up compared to normal readings, but it's still a minority of cases, and your team catching it early means they can monitor you much more closely with extra growth scans. The most important thing now is to follow your specialist's advice on monitoring frequency and ask specifically about aspirin prophylaxis for pre-eclampsia prevention, since that's something doctors here often recommend when the risk flags come up early. Definitely have a thorough conversation with your OB or MFM specialist about what the numbers actually mean for your specific case, because the threshold and management plan can vary quite a bit from person to person.
