From what I've heard, the doctors here will usually monitor you and baby more closely, and a planned delivery around 37, 38 weeks is often discussed to keep things safer for both of you. Someone in my mum group mentioned that the itching can feel really unbearable, especially at night, so cold compresses and loose cotton clothing do help a little to manage the discomfort while waiting for your next appointment. The most important thing is to keep all your check-ups and be honest with your specialist about how severe the itching is, because they will adjust your care accordingly.
