Shingles (herpes zoster)

I am 17 weeks pregnant and have shingles. Went to GP and was given acyclovir (application and oral) which were approved by Gynae. But advise not to take tramedol (for pain) though was given to me. Have to go back to GP to get ‘clearance’ after a week. Have any mummy gotten shingles during pregnancy before and how long does the recovery take?

shingles during pregnancy sounds so stressful and painful, and it is completely understandable that you are worried. It is good that you already saw your GP and gynae and they are monitoring you closely, so please do keep that follow-up appointment. having both your GP and gynae looped in is exactly the right thing to do.
