Mistress abortion

Husband cheated and wife found out. Mistress went for abortion and there is a follow up check up. Wife doesn’t want husband to get involved with the mistress (slightly depressed due to abortion). Mistress said will move on. Should the wife go for the follow up as a support and end things once and for all?
