Infant care or nanny

My hub wants to send the newborn to nanny after I finish my give birth and confinement, but yet I still feel that children should go early to school to pick up things. I told him I wanted to send to infant care as it would be better he can learn things and make friends rather than staying with nanny just doing nothing. Any suggestions?
