It should be changed at least every two to three months or when there is discolouration, stickiness, cracks, tears or when milk pours out in a stream. Liquid should drip steadily out of the teats. If it comes rushing out, the hole is too big. You should also change the bottle at least every five to six months or when the bottle cracks, chips or breaks.

I change my bottles and teats every 6 months for hygiene reasons. But anytime, if the teat were to be torn due to biting. I will change it immediately too.
