How much milk do newborns need to drink?

Breastfeeding 0-1month : 8-12times 1-2months: 7-10times 2-3months: 6-9times. Formula 0-1 : 14-30oz 1-2 : 16-38oz 2-3m : 20-43oz For formula feeding babies, feed about 2.5 ounces of formula per pound of body weight each day. Around first few weeks of life, 7pound infant need 17.5 ounces of formula.

Most of my friends are breastfeeding and feed on demand. As long as their babies are gaining weight, they are not too worried about the actual amount that their babies are consuming.
