Oh yes I overlooked on that! Agency fees can range from $0 to $2000. However the trend has been to entice employers with low fees due to high competition. The maids are the ones who sacrifice. Other costs include the levy $60 (for Singaporean with yound kids(s) or elderly) and S$265 per month (Singaporean with no young kid/elderly and non-Singaporean). Other expenses to consider are the mandatory maid's insurance/security bond which is about $300 per 2-year contract, and checkup fees as well as daily living expenses.

About $550 with 2 off days. That is before they implemented the minimum wage of $550 starting 2016

Stephanie's range sounds about right. Be aware that agent fees and levy will come on top of that.
