How do you impart your faith/religion's teachings to your child in ways they can understand?

As early as our baby's first month, we were already reading her bible stories. When she turned 6 months, we bought her first kiddie bible.

The kids need not be taught when they see it lived out everyday. They somehow catch it and run with the faith demonstrated before them.
