How harmful is it for kids to witness their parents fighting?

its harmful in so many ways if they grow up with such happenings right in front of their eyes because they will believe is the right thing to do. if it's a girl she will believe dating/marrying a violent man is a good thing since that's what she grew up seeing her parents do. psychologically is not good for the children and it drains them emotionally.
