how do you entertain a 1yo in the car seat so that he"ll not scream and cry? tia! i try to read to him he ll throw the book away? sometimes he s ok with ball or some toys sometimes not. is it ok to use some apps eg fisher apps ? he seems to really like it but i worry he ll be addicted.

I will suggest playing nursery rhymes which he likes and pointing to all the vehicles on the road to distract him. The best way to stop them from crying is distraction. And since their attention span is still very short it means having to keep having distractions during the journey. Does your boy like to chew or suck on things? When my gal is in the car I make sure I have ample things to let her suck or chew on. Sometimes even my bag straps too so be armed with wet tissues. You may also try to have elements of surprise when you put him in the car seat by giving him something out of his ordinary toys to hold on to.
