Lol, my sister and I are 3 years apart and we STILL quarrel and fight almost each time we meet but we kiss and make up pretty quickly so all is fine. I think it's perfectly normal to have fights amongst siblings but it's equally important to teach them from young that no matter how big the fight is (or what it's regarding), family is family and nothing can ever break that bond. I watch "Return of Superman" quite often and I love how Song Il Gook makes his triples hug and kiss each other after each fight they have and it sure seems to be effective because they are so fiercely protective of one another and are always one a look out for each other. For me, I am trying to adopt a similar approach. My daughter hugs and kisses my son each time she leaves school or comes back from school irregardless if he's awake or not and my son is already old enough to ask for cuddles from her. They do fight over toys even though they're 6 years apart, but it gets revolves after 10 minutes lol.

It's part and parcel (and I feel, half the fun) of having siblings because no matter how much we argue or fight, we will always be bonded by blood and love. We used to drive my mother crazy too with all our squabbles and what my mom would do is to "threaten" to send one of us away to live with a grandparent or some imaginary relative in a faraway land since we didn't appreciate each other and insist on fighting. Despite the squabbles, the thought of being separated from one another was enough to quell the fighting for a day or two.
