The main thing to watch is that some nannies (especially older, more traditional ones) can be quite set in their ways, they may insist on stricter confinement rules or want to limit who handles the baby, which could clash with a long-time helper who already has her own established ways. A friend of mine went through something similar and said the key was being the one to set the boundaries firmly, rather than leaving the two of them to figure it out themselves.
