Agree that hipseats are not recommended for young babies as they do not provide enough support for their developing spine. For older babies, it would be very straining on the parent's back due to the poor weight distribution. An ergonomic soft structured carrier would be better. Hip seat carriers are not ergonomic and as such not advisable for a growing baby's spine development. However, if you talking about a toddler then I suppose hip seat carriers are fine.
Hip seat is not recommended due to bad spinal position, Why don't you consider Manduca? Unless u are referring to baby carrier rather then hipseat
I won't use a hip seat, definitely not ergonomic. Try a Tula or Manduca.
