Folic Acid

Hii, just wondering if I should take the 5mg Folic acid my sis handed over to me or the 500mcg one that I already bought. Is 5mg too much of a dosage? I am 6 weeks pregnant. Thank you.

Typically, you should be needing about 1mg (1000mcg) of folic acid a day for the first trimester. For best absorption, space out the doses apart, and consume them after food.
