heard from friend that she has another friend the baby failed milestone check (I forgot for which month) because unable to point at things/wave hi and bye. does it help if I purposefully teach my LO how to point? how does this actually works? TIA

yes it helps, you can point at things and tell her what is it. lil ones usually will imitate or try to communicate back with you by pointing
