My husband started off being very strict and scolding her when she refused, but somehow she was more willing later on when we were just very encouraging, we talked a lot about how fun pooping into the toilet bowl is (lol), we talked to her while she was pooping (so it seemed like a relaxing activity rather than a stressful one) and so on.
