Have you ever worried that you lack empathy as a parent? Admittedly, I'm pretty stubborn and think I may have trouble relating to my daughter as she grows older. Is this okay? Any suggestions?

I don't think it's lack of empathy in my case. It's more of the mood I have when a specific scenario strikes. I believe that as parents, we shouldn't feel the 'lack' of empathy towards our children no matter what the situation is. It's understandable if there are instances where we cannot relate to them well, maybe due to stress, busy schedule, etc. But in general, parents are always parents. We always try our best to be the knight in shining armor to our kids. :)
