Cosleeping with 5 months old

Hi all, have been co sleeping with my 5 month old since he was 3 months old. Basically I hug him to sleep almost every night, latching him. However, he's been waking up every one and a half hour to feed and this is making me very very exhausted. Anybody doing this too? And will this situation improve?
